Caravan Tiny House Hotel

“Caravan” is a vision brought to life for the quaint and quintessentially Portland Caravan — The Tiny House Hotel, which was featured on Portlandia. As the first hotel of its kind, we are honored to have collaborated with Caravan to develop their community courtyard featuring a shade and rain canopy.

The gorgeous shade and rain canopy now stands as the centerpiece, not only protecting patrons from the Portland rains but also elevating the space's style and functionality.

Deb & Kol, the proprietors, contacted GuildWorks and together, we co-created the perfect solution to meet the space's needs. "The Flying Squirrel," a whimsical freestanding 22'x25' rain and sun fabric tension structure was the result. The charm of "The Flying Squirrel" lies in its versatility. While sturdy enough to withstand heavy winds and rare Portland snow loads, it remains a temporary structure that can be taken down within a few hours.
