"Dancing Sky" at Arizona Center

In Phoenix Arizona, Parallel Capital Partners spearheaded the revitalization of the Arizona Center, a lively outdoor mall. Collaborating with Gensler, a renowned architecture firm, they sought out GuildWorks as a creative partner to reimagine the courtyard spaces. Through a collaborative design process, the "Dancing Sky" concept was developed – a tensioned net structure spanning over the elongated courtyard.

Our team at GuildWorks worked to integrate the fabric structures into the existing building. Research and development resulted in three interconnected tension net structures stretching over 300 feet, some soaring to 140 feet in height.

As the sunlight interplays with the layers of net and fabric, the Arizona Center's courtyard transforms into an ever-changing spectacle. "Dancing Sky" invites guests to wander, unwind, and connect — creating an oasis of tranquility.

This outdoor addition has set the Arizona Center apart, inviting visitors to explore and enjoy live events in an inspiring environment. Together, GuildWorks, Parallel Capital Partners, and Gensler have breathed new life into the mall, forging an urban-contemporary destination where innovation, integration, and iconic design come together.
