Migrations

The "Migrations" project began as a vision to contemplate the beauty and struggle of human and animal migration. Depicting a large, migratory bird with spread wings, "Migrations" offers shade during the day and a spectacular LED experience at night. The sculpture also served as a gathering place, a wedding ceremony location, and as a backdrop for concerts.

The structure's framework consists of steel brackets and structural members, in a combination of welded components along with hardware and bracket fixations. Framework is clad in tensioned architectural fabric, representing skin, wings, and feathers of the bird. There is one low wooden decks at and near the base of the structure. 8’ diameter, functions as a  gathering platform and represents the nest for the bird.
