Glow Plaza

The Neon Line District urban infill redevelopment project that began in 2019 in an effort to reimagine Downtown Reno. On over 20 city blocks, an over $1 billion mixed-use development reintroduces vibrant public spaces alongside public art displays, reimagined hotels, and open-air venues.

The Glow Plaza Festival ground is a recent addition to the ambitious development project, with an iconic colorful shade sail of over 18,000 sqft covering the stage and audience. The playful Neon Line District branding inspired the colors of the sail shades. The structures dramatically reduces the heat island effect, increasing comfort for patrons. The structure uses an HDPE-knitted shade cloth that stays up throughout the summer, and gets taken down in the winter.
