Wellen Park

Wellen Park in Venice, Florida, wanted to develop a shade and gathering space — a central element enhancing their commercial and residential property. They envisioned a fabric structure to provide a shaded sanctuary for park-goers and local patrons. With GuildWorks spearheading the interpretation, design, build, and installation of the vision, the Wellen Park Fabric Structure project became a multi-use installation that captures the essence of Wellen Park.

This fabric structure adds visual interest and offers a welcoming oasis for the community. Engineered and built to withstand wind speeds of up to 150 MPH, it proved its strength during a powerful hurricane in 2022.

The fabric material HDPE features a webbing edge and reinforced D-Rings that are attached to turnbuckles and a complex reinforced 30’ tall steel frame, spanning 1585 sf.
